New Course Sneak Preview

We thought we would bring you a sneak preview of a couple of courses that are coming on board this year. MG writers have the opportunity to see new courses long before the going public plunks down their hard-earned money to them. We trudge through dirt and mud and like our fine architects, we try hard to visualize just what is coming. We will bring you complete stories of all these courses in our May and June issues. For now, we simply offer just a taste of what to expect.

Calderone Farms

Calderone Farms architect William Newcomb describes the 12th hole. (Requires QuickTime, available for Windows or Macintosh at: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download ) The course will open in May 2001.

The Irish Course - Kohler, Wisconsin

The salt to Whistling Straits pepper. The final addition to the Kohler Quartet, The Irish Course is another spectacular course. Mike Beckman brings us up to date with this fine course in our Wisconsin Golf Guide in our July issue.

Switch Grass - Jackson, Michigan
