Michigan Golfer TV: A successful launch, but not yet a Nielsen Ratings champ.

On March 9th, the Michigan Golfer TV show was launched into cyberspace. The show, hosted by former Eastern Michigan University President, William Shelton, is on 24/7/365 and can be found on your local computer screen at http://michigangolfer.tv. A brand extension of the Michigan Golfer print and online magazines, the show is scheduled for a 28 week run in its first season, concluding at the end of September.

The first shows have included guest interviews with Bill Newcomb of William Newcomb Designs, Mark Jackson of the Davey Company, W. Bruce Matthews III of Matthews and Nelhiebel and Ray Hearn Golf Designs. Upcoming shows, and a new one debuts each Friday, will feature Gary Baker and Foster Braun of the Internet Advisor; Susy Avery and Dana Lee Cole of Travel Michigan; Brian Lewis of Sleeping Bear Press; Jack Berry, Dean of Michigan golf writers; Thad Gutowski, former owner and CEO of Falcon Golf; Mike Husby of Mike Husby Golf; Kevin Henley of The Natural; Susan Bairley of the Women's Golf Network and Judy Mason of Treetops Women's Golf Academy. In addition, the Michigan Golfer TV cameras visited the Michigan Golf Show booths of Treetops, The Chief, Fieldstone GC, A-Ga-Ming, Boyne USA, Buck's Run, Garland, Golf Mackinaw, Grand Hotel, Grand Traverse Resort, Grande Golf Club, Hidden River Golf and Casting Club, Island Hills GC, Lakewood Shores, Marsh Ridge Resort, Michaywe, Monterra Golf, Walnut Creek, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Boyne City CVB, Pohlcat, St. Ives, The Preserve, Thunder Bay Resort, Wild Bluff Golf Course and the new Limo Coach Service from www.upnorth.com. These golf properties, services and destinations will be featured in some of the upcoming shows.
