MGN ON THE ROAD
Gaylord-The Otsego Club, Treetops, Marsh Ridge
Snowmobiles and ESPN cameras took over the The Otsego Club this past
weekend and the Michigan Snocross made its second of ten stops to midwest
venues. It was exciting stuff as North America's hottest snowmobiles
churned up the snow just outside of that magnificient Otsego Club window.
Michigan Travel Television cameras were there and will have the show up
before the year is up and ESPN 2 will also be airing the tour
startingJanuary 20.. The PowerSports Snowmobile Tour returns to Michigan at the
Grand Traverse Resort & Spa on January 21-22.

Treetops opened up its slopes this past weekend as Kevin McKinley took

You can see a couple of the hats that Kevin McKinley wears by tuning in
on this GLSP offering. Treetops opened on December 17th and is setting

four an update on Treetops skiing. Our show takes you from a sunny day
just outside of Treetops North and puts you into the middle of some
winter snow.
"Jack Berry's Ireland Golf" - Part 1
Jack Berry's knowledge of Ireland golf is so vast that we decided
to expand our original show to six. In our first show, Jack gives us an
overview of Ireland golf and chats about some of his favorite memories.

PRESSEL TO GET IMMEDIATE LPGA TOUR MEMBERSHIP
LPGA Commissioner Carolyn F. Bivens recently announced that, "I am
pleased to announce that I've granted Morgan Pressel full LPGA Tour
membership starting in January 2006. Morgan is an exceptionally talented
young player who will be a terrific addition to the 2006 LPGA Tour. She
presents a unique combination of academic and golf achievements and I am
impressed with Morgan's abilities. "
To which Pressel responded, " I am thrilled that Commissioner Bivens
has granted me special permission to begin competing as an official
member of the Tour right from the start of the 2006 season. I can't wait for
the season to start, and to be able to fully compete and be a part of
the rookie race."

CHAMPIONS TOUR ANNOUNCES 2006 SCHEDULE
The PGA TOUR's Champions Tour recently announced its 2006 tournament
schedule. It features 29 official Charles Schwab Cup events and official
prize money of a minimum of $52.75 million with the average tournament
purse growing to a record $1.82 million.
The Champions Tour's 27th season gets underway again in Hawaii January
16-22 with back-to-back events, the MasterCard Championship at Hualalai
and the Turtle Bay Championship. The season will come to a close in
late October at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship at Sonoma (CA) Golf
Club where many of the season's award winners will be determined.
The major championship schedule includes new sites in the middle of the
country for the Senior PGA Championship (Oak Tree Golf Club, Edmond,
OK) in late May and the U.S. Senior Open Championship (Prairie Dunes
Country Club, Hutchinson, KS), which moves a few weeks earlier to the first
full week of July. The Ford Senior Players Championship returns to the
Tournament Players Club of Michigan in Dearborn in July and the
JELD-WEN Tradition is back at The Reserve Vineyards & Golf Club outside
Portland, OR in August. The Champions Tour's other major championship, the
Senior British Open Championship, makes its sixth visit to The Westin
Turnberry Resort / Ailsa Course on Scotland's west coast in July.

MSU HOT STOVE LEAGUE-MEET THE ARCHITECTS-JERRY MATTHEWS & RAY HEARN

who want to find out why golf architects do what they do.
Saturday, January 14 -- Jerry Matthews
A graduate of Michigan State University and past president of the
American Society of Golf Course Architects, Jerry Matthews has designed more
than 100 new golf courses throughout Michigan and across the country.
In recent years his Michigan designs have included the Lakes Course at
Michaywe (Gaylord) Timber Ridge (East Lansing), Elk Ridge (Atlanta),
St. Ives (Stanwood) and Timberstone (Iron Mountain) -- all honored by
Golf Digest as being among the top five new public courses designs in
their respective years.
Matthews will be discussing various design elements, with particular
focus on one of his specialties, wetlands management, as carried out at
Hawk Hollow.

Saturday, March 25 -- Ray Hearn
A graduate of Michigan State University and member of the American
Society of Golf Course Architects, Ray Hearn has been involved in numerous
original course designs and remodeling projects since opening his own
firm in 1998. Michigan courses recognized by Golf Digest include The
Grande (Jackson) and Hemlock (Ludington), which was also noted by Golf
Magazine as a Top Ten New Course. Hearn is also an instructor with the
acclaimed "Golf Architecture in the British Isles," which is taught on
location in Great Britain.
Hearn will be discussing the design process for his award-winning
Mistwood Golf Course in Romeoville, Illinois.

According to Janina Jacobs, one of the hosts of Michigan Golf Weekly,
