Michigan Golfer TV Features the Life of W. Bruce Matthews

W. Bruce Matthews III visits Michigan Golfer TV Show host Bill Shelton this week to discuss the life of his grandfather, Michigan's legendary golf architect, W. Bruce Matthews.

W. Bruce Matthews and, later on, his son Jerry, built 70 golf courses in Michigan. After Bruce retired his son continued on with the firm, now known as Natural Course Design. W. Bruce Matthews III has also continued the tradition, becoming a well respected golf course architect in his own right. His latest course opening was the Jackal in Brighton.

For additional information on the life of W. Bruce Matthews, see the fine article about him by Paul Fullmer, Executive Secretary of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, on the Michigan Golfer Website.
