Robinson is High on Hawk's Eye

John Robinson, architect of The Chief in Bellaire, is really pumped on the new Hawk's Eye that will see nine open next year and the other nine in 2003. "It has some outstanding terrain and it is a course I am extremely proud of," said Robinson. Robinson, graduated from the University of Michigan in the 70's and worked for William Newcomb for about seven years. His brother is Bill Robinson, of Cornish & Robinson Golf Course Designers, who are responsible for more than 100 courses in Canada, the United States and Greece.

He is out on his own now and has a lot of courses he is currently working on. The Canadian resident, indicated that a recent study indicated that Toronto needs a 150 courses in the next 10 years. Robinson has also done some work for the new Skyline course that is emerging in Grayling.
