MGCOA To Meet at Soaring Eagle on December 3 and 4

The Michigan Golf Course Owners Association will hold it's Annual Conference on December 3 and 4 at the Soaring Eagle Resort in MT. Pleasant. The two day event titled "Keep It In Michigan" will focus on the success and future of the state's golf industry.

The keynote address, "A Michigan Success Story" will be presented by Stephen Kircher, principal of Boyne USA http://www.boyne.com . The second day of the conference will feature speaker Doug Rothwell of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Rothwell will speak to the topic of, "Golfing In Michigan Equals Big Business".

Additional sessions will include "The Temporary Employee" presented by Dr. Kevin Love, Central Michigan University. "Michigan's Environmental Law" presented by Jim Olson, Olson & Bzdok, P.C. Management consultant and golf course owner, John Dodge, will present techniques on recruiting and hiring permanent employees in the session "Get Them In Michigan: Hiring Locally". And finally, "The Legal Golf Course" will be presented by Bill Roberts,attorney and golf course owner.

The MGCOA Annual Conference includes a Vendor Fair,featuring leading industry suppliers and service companies.
